How It Started
Every problem we solved became a new business opportunity
Five years ago, Allied Brands didn’t exist. There was just one person, a laptop, and a simple idea: sell coffee online.
It worked. People bought the coffee. But then offices started calling. Could we deliver to their workplace? Could we supply their break rooms? In less than two years, we went from selling bags of coffee to consumers to delivering to offices and industrial complexes across Athens.
We added cold brew to the lineup. Customers loved it. But there was a problem—how do you keep cold brew fresh and accessible in an office setting?
“We got our hands on old Coca-Cola vending machines, modified them, and started using them to sell our cold brew. Offices had 24/7 access to fresh coffee. We solved our own distribution problem.”
Then offices started asking: “Can you provide vending machines for snacks and drinks too?”
That’s when everything changed. We weren’t just a coffee company anymore. We were solving real problems for real businesses—and every problem we solved opened a new door.
Vending machines needed management software. We built it. Offices needed point-of-sale systems. We created those too. Businesses wanted loyalty programs. We developed the platform. Every time we built something for ourselves, we realized other businesses needed the same thing.
That’s when we stopped thinking like a coffee company and started thinking like a portfolio company. Instead of being stuck in one industry, we created separate brands for each solution. IntellentVend for smart vending. IntellentSpaces for IoT management. LoyaltyNation for customer retention. ShoeGuard for facility hygiene.
Each brand solves a specific problem. Each brand serves a specific market. Together, they help businesses operate better.
